Churchgate Accountants

Expanding East Anglian accountancy firm, Churchgates, expands into additional premises with a Pitkin & Ruddock installed, fully managed, comfort cooled working environment.

Based in the heart of Suffolk, Churchgates is an experienced and approachable accountancy, tax and financial planning practice based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk and Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. Churchgates provide professional value for money accountancy and financial services to both businesses and individuals offering an all-round service to their clients covering professional accounts and business advice, expert investment and pension assistance, tax planning, including tax returns and estate planning and trusts throughout East Anglia.

As part of Churchgates planned expansion of their Head Office into adjacent premises, Pitkin & Ruddock’s first task was to design, install and commission new air-conditioning system into the main office environment. The existing system was both under capacity and centrally located so that even air distribution across the open plan office was inhibited. However, the old system was still in good working order and was able to be re-utilised as part of the new solution. By relocating the old system to the rear of the main office area and installing a new streamlined, ultra efficient Mitsubishi Electric twin split system unit to the front, Piktin & Ruddock enabled the two units to work in harmony to create an even air comfort cooling distribution, thus creating a comfortable working environment for the employees of Churchgates and delivering maximum return for the company stakeholders.

The ceiling space of this older but newly refurbished building was limited by original design so the Mitsubishi, lightweight, twin split system was the perfect solution. The main unit was encased in a colour coded collar and the pipework hidden in discrete trunking to enable it to blend into the surrounding environment.

The inverter driven outdoor units power consumption is modulated to match demand, so it’s kinder for the environment as well as being energy efficient and the entire system is completely temperature controllable with scheduled timer capabilities.

Alison Hawes, Office Administrator at Churchgates was delighted with our Pitkin & Ruddock Projects Engineer and his team “Luke and his team were really helpful and made everything run smoothly. The whole engineering team were friendly and very easy to work with. As a working office they needed to work around us and were considerate in doing so.”

Our specialist trained installation engineers completed the work on time and within budget whilst working alongside office personnel. Pitkin & Ruddock heavily invest in its own staff training, we work closely with manufacturers like Mitsubishi Electric, continually training our engineers to ensure they’re equipped with the best knowledge of our products and the skills necessary for precision installations.

Pitkin & Ruddock are delighted to be continuing their relationship with Churchgates and will be maintaining all their systems going forward to ensure they remain clean, efficient and working optimally.
